  • Gloves are provided for handling food. Any open wounds should be covered with band aids and gloves should be worn.

TB TESTING

TB TESTING

The screening is valid for four years. if you have volunteered in prior years, and an update is needed, we will let you know. Look for the notice in your Registration/Teacher's Assignment Package you will receive at Jumpstart.

If Wagner Ranch does not have a copy of your current TB clearance, please provide the current documentation to the office.

OUSD facilitated TB screening at Wagner Ranch and other district schools will be scheduled for late Aug or early Sept.  Dates will be provided around the start of the school year.  You can also obtain testing via other facilities such as your doctors office or a clinic.

The Contra Costa Health Department requires all volunteers in school, including those working in the Raccoon's Den, to show they are free of communicable tuberculosis (TB). TB screening consists of a questionnaire and, potentially, a PPD skin test. It is the responsibility of each volunteer to provide the school with proof of a negative PPD skin test. TB screening results are valid for four years after your TB test. If you have any questions about TB screening, please contact the office or the Orinda Union School District office (925) 254-4901.
