Welcome to the Library

ABOUT THE LIBRARY

ABOUT THE LIBRARY

We are very fortunate to have a large, well-organized library. We have over 15,500 books, DVDs and videos, as well as five student computers with Internet access and a large screen monitor.

All students visit the library weekly with their classroom teacher for reading programs and checking out books. The library is open Monday through Wednesday throughout the day and during most recesses for small group and individual activities. Parents are also able to visit and check out material.
LIBRARY TECHNICIAN

LIBRARY TECHNICIAN

Our Library Technician, Nancy Zakar, is on campus four days a week, (Mon - Thurs. 9:30-2:30), to work with students and teachers. She brings a lifelong love of books, performing arts and storytelling as well as well as recent library science skills learned at Diablo Valley College. She thoroughly enjoys the opportunity to share high quality read alouds and the magic of library exploration with our students!
LIBRARY VOLUNTEERS

LIBRARY VOLUNTEERS

Library volunteers are always welcome!  Please join us in the library as your schedule permits. You can volunteer on a weekly or monthly basis -- whatever works for your schedule.
You can learn more about volunteering by contacting our Library Volunteer Coordinator.

Training will be provided. Volunteer duties include book circulation, assisting the children with book selection, shelving, and various projects. There are other volunteer opportunities as well, such as our annual book fair.
